Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network
When using your favorite printer, you can connect a printer using AirPrint to a Wireless network to perform wireless printing from your Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. http //ij.start.canon for mac

This general information is not specific to a particular AirPrint printer. but you can use to http //ij.start.canon ts6120, http //ij.start.canon ts 5100, http //ij.start.canon ts5100, http //ij.start.canon setup ts3122. For detailed steps, check your printer’s documentation or contact the printer manufacturer. All Wi-Fi printers require a properly configured Wi-Fi network and the name (or SSID) and password of that network.
If the printer has an internal display
- Printers with a touchscreen or other built-in display (Control Panel) generally expect you to use that view to select or enter the name and password of your Wi-Fi network. Check your printer documentation for details.
If your printer uses Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
- If your Wi-Fi router isn’t built by Apple, check your router’s documentation for details on how to add a WPS printer.
If your Wireless router is an AirPort base station:
- Open AirPort utility, which is in the Utilities folder of the Applications folder.
- Select the base station in AirPort utility, then enter the transmitter password, if prompted.
- From the menu bar, select the transmitter > add a WPS printer.
- Select either “attempt first ” or “PIN ” as the allowed type of WPS connection. Then click Continue.
If you select “First Try”, press the WPS button on the printer. When the printer’s MAC address appears in AirPort utility, click Finish.
If you select “PIN “, enter the printer’s PIN number, which should be listed in the printer documentation. Then click Continue. When the printer’s MAC address appears in AirPort utility, click Finish. - Close AirPort utility.
If your printer can connect to your MAC via USB
You might be able to use a USB connection to set up Wi-Fi printing:
- Connect the Canon Printer printer you have to your MAC using the appropriate USB cable.
- Install the MAC software that came with your printer, and make sure that it includes the printer Setup Assistant.
- Use the printer Setup Assistant to connect the printer to a Wi-Fi network. Check your printer documentation for details.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the Canon printer and MacOS. The printer must remain connected to the Wi-Fi network.
If a Canon printer can create an ad-hoc Wi-Fi network
You might be able to use your printer’s ad-hoc Wi-Fi network to set up Wi-Fi printing:
- Install the MAC software that came with your printer, and make sure that it includes the printer Setup Assistant.
- Make sure the printer’s ad-hoc Wi-Fi network is enabled. Check your printer documentation for details.
- Open the Wi-Fi menu on your Mac by clicking the Wi-Fi icon in the menu Bar, then selecting the name of the Wi-Fi network for the printer ad-hoc. When your
- MAC is on a network printer, your MAC won’t be able to connect to the Internet or other services on your regular Wi-Fi network.
- Use the printer Setup Assistant to connect the printer to a Wi-Fi network. Check your printer documentation for details. The printer may restart before it is connected to the network.
- Return to the Wi-Fi menu on your Mac and switch back to a Wi-Fi network.
